After 50 years of racial strife: Why is Greensboro still so tense?

“Median annual household income for white Greensboro residents has increased $5,300 from 2000 to 2009, according to Census data. For African-Americans, that number increased by only $11.”

My friend Stephen just sent me this must-read article about racism and race relations in Greensboro. I think it’s a pretty good look at the tensions in Greensboro, thought it is seriously lacking any mention of racial diversity beyond black and white, which is a significant part of the city’s population.
