The Wind That Shakes the Barley

I’ve been meaning to watch this 2 hour + movie for a while and finally sat down to it this weekend. Similar to Libertarias about the Spanish Civil War, The Wind That Shakes the Barley is “a sympathetic look at Republicans in early 20th century Ireland, and two brothers who are torn apart by anti-Brit rebellion.”

Focusing on a column of the Irish Republican Army in the 1920s and the subsequent Irish Civil War, the film came out in 2006.

I highly recommend it.
