This Thursday at 7 pm, a panel discussion entitled Should Colleges Have Borders? will be held at the Elliott University Center at UNC Greensboro.
HB11 is a bill that has been introduced in the House branch of North Carolina’s State Legislature. This bill is called “No Post-Secondary Education/Illegal Aliens,” which would close all college doors (even community college) to undocumented students who have been living here in NC for the majority of their life.
There will be three guest speakers at this panel: Irene Godinez, lobbyist for Latin American Coalition; Maria, an undocumented high school student in Greensboro; and Marcus Brandon, State house representative.
