Two News Stories of Police Misconduct

Two news stories of different levels of police misconduct have come out recently and should remind us that it isn’t just the people of Egypt who need to struggle against the police (or Greece).

This video, posted on Jezebel, shows a Puerto Rican cop (yes, that is in the United States) groping a student demonstrator.

And this High Point police officer messed up badly enough that even local politicians are criticizing him.

Both stories are upsetting but are far from unique. Remember this book I was reading?

  1. Congress session by singing Oubao Moin and carrying Puerto Rican flags and signs that read 111 years of colonization is a disgrace. The protesters could face sentences of up to six months in jail and fines. .The struggle for Puerto Rican independence is the result of many battles that have not ceased.
