Homebrewing Hard Apple Cider

Almost two weeks ago I started homebrewing five gallons of hard apple cider. After messing up initially (we forgot to “start” the yeast) it’s back on track and my room is starting to smell strongly of cider.  In about another week, it should be ready to drink.

I learned how to make wine in a class I took in college, and I’ve helped friends homebrew beer and cider before too. This is my first foray with my own kit, and while I’ve asked friends (and the internet) for help I’m still definitely a novice. Hopefully it will come out tasting good and be easier next time!
