Speaking of Movies: Blood Done Sign My Name

The other day I watched Blood Done Sign My Name, a movie inspired by Tim Tyson’s book based off his experiences as a kid in Oxford, North Carolina.

The story follows Tyson’s father, a progressive white preacher, black teacher Ben Chavis, and others in the aftermath of a 1970 racially motivated killing.

This 2010 film is excellently done and I highly recommend it. It’s available on Netflix Watch Instantly too.

As a side note, my friend Bob stars as an extra (juror in the case) in the film.
