“The Santaland Diaries” Opens Next Week

“The Santaland Diaries: A Holiday Event for the Big Kids” opens December 7 at the Triad Stage downtown and will run until December 23.  Written by David Sedaris (who’s from North Carolina, by the way) and adapted by Joe Mantello, this play is targeted at a slightly older Christmas crowd. Here’s the description:

“Welcome back the quintessential elf gone bad in David Sedaris’ hilarious antidote for holiday havoc. Spend some time with the irreverent Crumpet – one of Santa’s little helpers during the Macy’s Christmas shopping rush – as he copes with thousands of shoppers and their kiddies with his whacked out, wicked wit.”
